What does the DualDur test entail?
The test is performed in vitro, so the process takes place outside the body, under controlled laboratory conditions. To do this, only 4 ml of blood is needed from the patient in advance, which is taken by trained specialists at once in a special liquid.
How can you prepare for the DualDur test?
Blood sampling is usually done on an empty stomach, do not take food 8-10 hours before the time of the blood sampling, and please maintain a fat-free diet 24 hours before the blood sampling to ensure the effectiveness of the test.
Before the examination, please read our valid Package Insert, which you can request from your doctor or directly from our colleagues. If you have any questions, you can also ask your doctor or our colleagues for more information if you have any questions about the examination methodology. You certify your informed consent and adherence to the diet by your signature.
In order to perform the test and send you your results, we need your personal identification information, such as your Name, Birth Name, Mother's Birth Name, Date of Birth and Social Security Number, as well as your email address, telephone number or other contact information. We process these data in accordance with Act XLVII of 1997 and GDPR Regulation, so the data will always be safe with us. We will ask you for this data in the Patient Data Sheet.
What does a fat-free diet mean?
Avoiding fatty foods means a relatively cumbersome diet that only needs to be followed for 24 hours, so it does not put a serious strain on our body or your feeling of hunger. What is worth paying attention to is that there are foods and snacks that contain fat and we don't necessarily think of avoiding them. For example, even one almond contains 1 gram of fat, similar to other seeds, so from a dietary point of view, these foods should also be avoided. All foods prepared using oil should also be avoided, such as salad dressed with oil, chips, milk and dairy products, meat (except natural chicken breast and turkey breast), avocado, chocolate, chia seeds, salmon, tuna, tofu, olives, etc. In case of uncertainty, the internet provides adequate information about the fat content of each food, but you can also omit the food in question for safety's sake.
Recommended foods when following a fat-free diet:
In all cases, pay attention to fluid intake! We recommend that you consume at least 2 liters of water a day and avoid fruit juices and carbonated soft drinks. The water can be flavored with lemon if desired.
